Report: Journalist claims Man Utd turn their attention to another reported Spurs target

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United certainly have the same priorities when it comes to the right back position within this summer’s transfer market.

Both clubs have been linked with a move for Crystal Palace’s highly-rated Aaron Wan-Bissaka with the Old Trafford outfit having already had a bid of £50million rejected by the South London club (Sky Sports).

United are now said to have turned their attention to another Tottenham target in the form of Norwich City’s Max Aarons (football.london) after failing to make any progress in their pursuit of Wan-Bissaka, according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol who took to Twitter earlier today to reveal the news.

Aarons came through the ranks at Carrow Road and played a key part in their promotion to the Premier League with his attacking flair that saw him crowned as EFL Young Player of the Year.

The 19-year-old now appears to be a target of some of England’s top clubs with Palace intent to hold onto Wan-Bissaka and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham’s apparent interest in Aarons will depend on the future of Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier in North London.

Opinion

While Manchester United are prioritising the signing of a right-back, Spurs could be left without their first and second choice options if they continue to drag their feet – something which Spurs fans have certainly got used to in recent windows.
