Report: Man Utd offered Spurs transfer target with talks ongoing

Tottenham Hotspur’s rumoured pursuit of Willian Jose may have developed an additional issue with potential involvement from Manchester United.

Sky Sports claim that Real Sociedad have offered the Old Trafford outfit the opportunity to bring him to the Premier League on loan.

Tottenham’s move for the 28-year-old is said to have stalled with the La Liga side demanding £25m, while discussions continue over the loan aspect of the deal.

The Brazilian striker has missed Sociedad’s last three matches after asking to be left out of the squad amid the transfer speculation.

Jose joined Sociedad in 2016, has scored eight goals in 20 appearances in the Spanish top flight this season (transfermarkt).

Jose Mourinho has previously spoken of his desire to try and bring in another striker to play as a target man after losing Harry Kane on New Year’s Day with a torn hamstring which will keep him out of training with his team mates until April (Daily Mail).
