Report: Newcastle could face competition for Danny Rose from Premier League club this summer

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose is on the radar of former club Leeds United this summer.

The Daily Star claim that the left-back is wanted by Marcelo Bielsa as part of his plans to add Premier League experience to his ranks after they ended their sixteen-year absence from the top flight.

Rose spent the second half of the season on loan at Newcastle United after falling out of favour under Jose Mourinho.

The 30-year-old has already admitted that his days are numbered in North London while also revealing that he would be keen to join the Magpies on a permanent basis (The Mirror).

Rose was born in Yorkshire and was a product of the Leeds academy system and made the move to White Hart Lane in 2007 having never made a senior appearance with Leeds having just been relegated into League One and facing administration.

The report claims that Spurs would look for around £5million to allow Rose to leave on a permanent deal with the England international in the last twelve months of his contract.
