Report: Premier League club make approach for Mauricio Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly received an approach from a fellow Premier League club to become their new manager.

The Times claim that the Argentine has been approached by Everton to replace Marco Silva.

The Toffees parted company with Silva after eighteen months in charge at Goodison Park with the club in the Premier League relegation zone following their Merseyside derby humiliation.

Everton suffered a 5-2 loss to rivals Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday evening which was their ninth top flight loss of the season and their third in a row.

Pochettino was sacked last month by Tottenham after five and a half years in charge having guided the club to their first ever Champions League final along with four successive top four finishes.

He recently admitted in an interview whilst back in his native Argentina that he is already open to offers for his next managerial role (Fox Sports Argentina).

Pochettino’s successor, Jose Mourinho has won three of his opening four matches in charge at Tottenham and will tomorrow face Burnley in North London.
