Report: Premier League player hoped for Spurs interest which has not happened

Bournemouth were unable to retain their Premier League status following the resumption of the campaign following the delay caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

One player who Eddie Howe was unable to call upon to help in the battle against the drop was Ryan Fraser.

The Scottish international decided to snub a short-term extension until the end of the season and instead became a free agent on June 30th following the expiration of his deal (Guardian).

The Daily Star claimed last month that Fraser had hoped for a move to Tottenham Hotspur in order to achieve his ambition of playing for a top six club.

The 26-year-old’s intention to play for Spurs, Everton or North London rivals Arsenal has failed to materialise along with his hopes of earning around £100,000 a week, a substantial rise on the £27,000 a week he pocketed on the south coast (The Times).

Instead, Fraser has been offered a deal in the region of £55,000 a week by Crystal Palace with West Ham United also said to be interested.
