Report: Premier League winger said to be interesting Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Burnley’s Dwight McNeil.

The Guardian report that Spurs, along with Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are keeping tabs on the winger, although it is unlikely that the Clarets will allow him to leave in the upcoming window.

McNeil played the full ninety minutes of Burnley’s 5-0 thrashing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last Saturday and had limited opportunities to try and catch the eye.

Palace have earmarked the 20-year-old as a potential replacement for Wilfried Zaha, who is said to be on the radar of Chelsea following the lifting of their transfer ban.

Spurs have a track record of signing young talent having previously recruited Gareth Bale, Dele Alli, Jack Clarke and Ryan Sessegnon.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has recently admitted that McNeil will move to a bigger club in the future (Daily Mail).

McNeil has made seventeen appearances for the Clarets in all competitions this season, scoring one goal (transfermarkt).
