Report: Spurs and Leeds may have to stump up £18million for striker

Tottenham Hotspur may have to stump up to €20 million (£18m) to sign FC Metz striker Habib Diallo, according to a report from L’Equipe.

Spurs are said to have made contact with the Ligue 1 outfit along with Premier League newcomers Leeds United for the forward who scored 12 goals in 26 league games last season (transfermarkt).

The Senegalese international is under contract with the side which finished twelfth in the French top flight until June 2022.

The 25 year-old’s agent Thierno Seydi is said to have made contact with Spurs to offer the services of Diallo to the North London outfit in recent weeks.

L’Equipe claim that England appears to be Diallo’s most likely destination if he is to depart the Stade Saint-Symphorien this summer.

Diallo is said to have been given permission to secure a move away from the club by Metz president Bernard Serin and are prepared put their faith in Ibrahima Niane to lead their attack.
