Report: Spurs considering £50million summer offer for England international

Tottenham Hotspur could be set to make a surprise summer move for Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

The Sun are reporting that the Goodison Park outfit are considering selling the England international after just two seasons at the club and would listen to offers in the region of £50 million.

Pickford has struggled with form this season which has seen him made a number of errors, including a huge blunder in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool in the final moments to gift their rivals a 1-0 win.

He also hit the headlines last week for allegedly giving a black eye to a bouncer during a brawl in Sunderland, which has led to Everton chiefs being more concerned about his behaviour rather than his form.

Everton are considering replacing Pickford with Burnley’s Nick Pope who could be available for just £10million this summer. West Ham are also said to be potentially interested in Pickford, who joined Everton from Sunderland for £30million.

Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris has had a season to forget with blunders against Liverpool and Barcelona, but has thrown his support behind the World Cup winner.

It would come as a huge surprise to many Spurs fans if they were to spend £50 million on a goalkeeper when they have higher priorities to fill in other positions this summer.
