Report: Spurs considering move for 25-goal striker

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested in Braga forward Paulinho, according to 90Min.

Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho admitted during Friday’s pre-Everton press conference that he was hopeful of adding another striker to his ranks before the transfer window closes early next month while also insisting the potential recruit will not be considered as a back up to Harry Kane (Evening Standard).

Spurs failed to land a forward during the January transfer window following Harry Kane’s hamstring injury and their problems became even more complicated when Heung-min Son fractured his arm just a matter of weeks later.

Paulinho enjoyed a relatively prolific campaign for Braga last time out having scored 25 goals in 48 appearances in all competitions (transfermarkt) with the report claiming that the Portuguese side would listen to offers in the region of £30million.

Spurs are rumoured to be mulling over a move for the 27-year-old having seen Callum Wilson and Ollie Watkins make respective moves to Newcastle United and Aston Villa.
