Report: Spurs could table offer for 25-year-old on Monday

Tottenham Hotspur could table an official offer for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar on Monday according to reports in Italy.

The print edition of Saturday’s Corriere Dello Sport, claimed that despite the fact that Tottenham are yet to test Inter’s resolve with a bid following discussions between both parties, something more concrete may happen tomorrow.

It is said that to date, Tottenham have been heavily involved in talks with the Serie A giants who are hoping to receive a fee in the region of €50-60million while the North Londoners were hopeful of landing the Slovakian international for €35million.

Skriniar was named on the bench for Inter’s top flight match against Fiorentina this evening.

The 25-year-old is said to have been monitored by Jose Mourinho for a number of years and is keen to make the move to North London (The Sun).

Spurs are yet to replace Jan Vertonghen after the Belgian left the club at the end of last season following the expiration of his contract.
