Report: Spurs end interest in striker after previous reports of £28m deal being agreed

Tottenham Hotspur have ended their interest in signing AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek.

The Sun report that the Pole will not be heading to North London during the current transfer window.

Spurs are in the market for a target man to help fill the void left by Harry Kane who is not expected to return to training until April.

Jose Mourinho admitted after the 0-0 draw with Watford yesterday afternoon that the club need to bring in an out and out forward to lead the front line whilst warning it is not easy (Daily Mail).

Tottenham have now failed to score in three consecutive Premier League games for the first time since November 2013. As well as being winless in their past six league games without Kane, Tottenham have failed to score in four of those matches.

The Sun had reported earlier this month that the Champions League finalists had agreed a £28million fee with the Italian giants for Piatek, however, the move now appears to have fallen by the wayside.
