Report: Spurs have no chance of signing in-form striker this month

Tottenham Hotspur have been told that they have no chance of signing Hull City striker Jarrod Bowen during the current transfer window.

Bowen was on target once again yesterday in Hull’s 2-2 draw at Aston Villa.

According to The Sun, Tottenham had scouts in the stands at Villa Park once again yesterday to keep tabs on the 22-year-old, who has scored seven goals in his last six matches.

Daniel Levy is said to be prepared to offer £15million to land the player, while Hull value him at £20million.

The Tigers have made a push for promotion having not lost in the last seven outings and are just six points away from sixth-placed Derby County.

Spurs were recently dealt a double blow with the news that Harry Kane will not return to training until early March due to an ankle injury, while Heung-min Son could be away on international duty until the first week in February.

A source close to Hull chairman, Ehab Allam, told The Sun: “He is absolutely adamant that Jarrod is going nowhere during this transfer window so Tottenham have no chance.

“Hull are making a real fist of trying to get promoted after a fantastic run and they cannot afford to lose Jarrod now. But it can all be revisited in the summer.”
