Report: Spurs have trio of new signings on their January shopping list

Tottenham Hotspur dipped into the transfer window for the first time in 18 months during the summer when they recruited Jack Clarke, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon.

While the core of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad has remained the same over the past few seasons, his high pressing style of play which gives the opposition little time on the ball has faltered.

Tottenham utilised the high press during the first half of the recent match against Bayern Munich and it worked well only for them not to continue the tactic after the break and got severely punished with a 7-2 scoreline.

The Mail report that the North London club will look to recruit new additions who are capable of playing at such a high intensity.

Norwich City right-back Max Aarons has previously been linked with a move to Spurs (Football.London) and is said to be back on the radar.

Fellow full-back Nathan Ferguson of Championship side West Bromwich Albion has also been identified along with Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

The Portuguese international revealed during the summer that he had agreed to terms with Tottenham, but Sporting rejected their bid for him, meaning he had to stay put in the Portuguese capital (GQ Portugal).
