Report: Spurs line up La Liga replacement for Eriksen

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be considering a move for Valencia playmaker Carlos Soler as a potential replacement for Christian Eriksen, according to the Mail.

This summer will see Eriksen have just twelve months left on his existing deal in North London and the club will seriously have to consider selling him at the end of the campaign or risk him walking away for free a year down the line.
The Dane has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid at the end of the season.
One potential stumbling block for the recruitment of Soler would be his €80m release clause and would certainly be a deal which Daniel Levy would want to renegotiate.
The 22-year-old can operate as a central midfielder as well as on the right-side, with his versatility being something that historically Mauricio Pochettino has looked for in his players.
Despite Eriksen’s indifferent form in recent months, his replacement would still have huge boots to fill.
