Tottenham Hotspur are rumoured to be among a number of Premier League clubs who are interested in signing Sampdoria midfielder Ronaldo Vieira, according to Italian newspaper Il Secolo XIX.
Spurs along with Burnley, Everton, Leicester City, Southampton and Leeds United are all said to be the 22-year-old.
Vieira has previously played for Leeds having come though the academy and left the club in 2018 in a £6million transfer to Serie A side Sampdoria (Leeds Live).
Sampdoria are reported to be looking for around €10million (£9million) for Vieira with club president Massimo Ferrero expected to demand more if demand between interested parties drives the price upwards.
Vieira is comfortable operating as either playing either in front of the back four or as a box-to-box midfielder.
Tottenham already have a number of options in the middle of the park including Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko, Tanguy Ndombele and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
We have more urgent matters including at right-back and a striker who can cover for Harry Kane.
