Report: Spurs look set to miss out on another rumoured striker

Tottenham Hotspur look set to miss out on another player which they reportedly hold an interest in.

Fenerbahce have taken to Twitter to confirm that talks are ongoing with Lazio over a possible deal to take Vedat Muriqi to the Serie A giants.

Tottenham reportedly had a bid turned down by Fenerbache for Muriqi during the January transfer window (Turkish TV Channel A Spor) and had been backed to return with another bid for him this summer (Aspor).

Fotomac (as relayed by Sport Witness) claimed early last month that Spurs were set to go head-to-head with Lazio for Muriqi’s signature with the Italian side said to have already made an €18million (£16.2m) offer for him while Fenerbache were holding out for around €20m (£18m).

Muriqi bagged 17 goals and seven assists for Fenerbahce last season in all competitions (transfermarkt) and at 6′ 3″ adds a physicality to the attack which Spurs are lacking when Kane is not fit.
