Report: Spurs made approach to PSG over availability of €15m-rated player

Tottenham Hotspur finished the summer transfer with a flurry of activity with two new arrivals before the window closed at 5pm last Thursday.

Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon became the latest additions to the Spurs ranks, following Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke who had both put pen to paper in early July.

One player who nearly departed on deadline day was left-back Danny Rose, according to The Sun, the left-back was spotted at Watford’s training ground ahead of a potential transfer only for the North London club to reject a £14million bid from the Hornets (Express).

According to French news outlet L’Equipe, Tottenham had made enquiries over the availability of Paris Saint-Germain’s Layvin Kurzawa.

The report claims that Spurs were told that the left-back was available for transfer at €15m, but the enquiry from Mauricio Pochettino’s side was not followed through with a firm offer.

Opinion

With Rose remaining at Spurs, there was no requirement to bring in another left-back considering the England international along with Ben Davies and Ryan Sessegnon are all capable of occupying the position.
