Report: Spurs make their first signing of the summer

Tottenham Hotspur have made their first signing of the summer after recruiting a Norwegian goalkeeper on a three-year deal.

Reports in the media in his homeland claim that Spurs have recruited 16-year-old shot-stopper Isak Solberg from second tier side Bryne FK.

Norwegian newspaper Stavanger Aftenblad are reporting that his contract will see him link up with Tottenham’s academy side for the first two years of the deal and will turn professional in the final year.

The 15-year-old had two trials with the club in the past six months and has impressed Tottenham enough to hand him a permanent deal.

His contract will not begin until the 6ft 2in goalkeeper turns 16 next month, which is probably why there has been no official confirmation from the club as of yet.

It is good to see that Tottenham are continuing to scour Europe for some of the brightest young talents, while few actually go on to make the cut at senior level it is refreshing to see that our scouting team are looking towards the future.
