Report: Spurs midfielder being tracked by Bundesliga pair

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Josh Onomah is being linked with a potential switch to Germany.

The 21-year-old is currently on a season-long loan in the Championship at Sheffield Wednesday but has been out of action since suffering a hamstring injury on Boxing Day.

Onomah has been back at Hotspur Way to receive treatment for the injury and Mauricio Pochettino was considering recalling him from the Owls due to the mounting injury crisis.

Spurs have had 37 different injuries to first team players this season, which is more than double which they have experienced in recent seasons.

A number of young English players have made the switch to the Bundesliga and have seen their careers flourish, including Jaden Sancho at Borussia Dortmund.

According to The Sun, Hoffenheim and Borussia Monchengladbach are both monitoring his situation.

Onomah’s contract has 18 months left to run, with Spurs having the option to extend by a further twelve months.

He last played for Spurs in April 2017, having spent last year on loan at Aston Villa.
