Report: Spurs officials said to be ready to jet off to open transfer talks

Tottenham Hotspur officials are reportedly set to jet off to Turkey to negotiate a deal for Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayandir.

Turkish news outlet Fanatik claim that a transfer delegation from the North London club will meet with officials from Fenerbahce.

Bayindir, 21 only joined the Turkish giants in July of last year from Ankaragücü and is said to have caught the eye of Spurs, Sheffield United and German outfit Hertha Berlin (Fotospor).

Spurs are reported to be keen to bring in another goalkeeper to help provide competition for Hugo Lloris who has spent a large portion of the season out with an elbow injury and only returned to action late last month.

Paulo Gazzaniga stepped up to fill the void left by the Frenchman and showed at times that he is capable of an error, notably when he cost his side a penalty in the defeat to Chelsea just before Christmas.

Fenerbahce are said to open to selling their 6ft 6inch keeper for the right price of around £20million.
