Report: Spurs pull the plug in their interest of winger

Tottenham Hotspur will not be looking to pursue a move for Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen during the current transfer window according to Football League World.

The 22-year-old was heavily linked with a move to North London during the January window but a move failed to materialise for the Championship winger and were reported to be ready to wait for a move this summer (football.london).

However, a source close to the player exclusively confirmed to Football League World that a move to Mauricio Pochettino’s side will no longer happen but is still expected to leave the club ahead of the new campaign with Everton and Southampton both interested.

Bowen scored an impressive 22 goals for the Tigers last season but it appears that Tottenham’s interest in the former Hereford United player has gone cold.

Spurs have instead recently been linked with another winger from the Championship in Leeds United’s Jack Clarke (The Sun).

It is unlikely that the 18-year-old would be in a position to push for a place in Pochettino’s starting eleven if he were to join but could certainly provide an alternative option from the bench.
