Manchester United look set to win the race to sign Portugal midfielder Bruno Fernandes with a deal set to be announced next week (A Bola).
The Sporting Lisbon player was also wanted by Tottenham Hotspur along with Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.

We have a track record of late signings, whereas it would be ideal for all the transfer business to be wrapped up before the club jets off to the far east for pre-season.
