Report: Spurs still keen on deal for highly-rated left back

Tottenham Hotspur still retain an interest in Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon with the club looking to improve the squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

Sky Sports are reporting that Sessegnon remains on Tottenham’s radar with the player likely to be given a top flight lifeline.

Fulham suffered relegation after just one season back in the Premier League with Sessegnon said to have already rejected the offer of a new contract at Craven Cottage (Sky Sports).

The 19-year-old has just a year left to remaining on his contract and is said to favour a move to Spurs which would allow him to continue to live in London.

Sessegnon is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in England but struggled to make an impact in the Premier League despite making 35 appearances in the competition.

Spurs will certainly have an eye on Sessegnon during his involvement in the European U21 Championships with England with their first game taking place on Tuesday against France.

Opinion

Sessegnon would be a shrewd signing for Spurs given his ability to play anywhere on the left side of the pitch and has the pace that we need to cause the opposition problems.
