Report: Spurs still keen on England international; no bid made

Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson is still on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar, according to the Daily Star.

The report claims that Tottenham are yet to make a formal offer for the England international with Bournemouth said to be demanding a sizeable transfer fee to allow him to leave south coast outfit who were relegated to the Championship on the final day of the season.

Wilson scored nine goals in 39 appearances in all competitions last season and is also said to be attracting interest from Newcastle United, West Ham and top flight newcomers Fulham (Daily Mail).

After completing the signing of Joe Hart, the Daily Mail claimed that Jose Mourinho was set to turn his attention to recruiting a striker to provide much needed cover for Harry Kane, however Bournemouth are expecting a fee in the region of £30million despite dropping into the Championship.

Wilson is already said to have told his Cherries team mates that he needs to leave the club to play Premier League football for the sake of his England career (Telegraph).
