Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho is said to be weighing up a move for Watford midfielder Will Hughes (The Mirror).
Mourinho is said to be a keen admirer of the £13million Hughes due to his versatility across the midfield.
The 25-year-old typically operates as a central midfielder, but can also play on either wing and particularly enjoyed success on the right-hand side.
If the Portuguese can help to balance the books in North London with the departures of some fringe players, it is said that he would be keen to add Hughes to his ranks while also helping to increase Tottenham’s homegrown quota.
Hughes was unable to help the Hornets avoid the drop from the Premier League last season despite playing 30 matches, he only managed to score one goal and provided one assist (transfermarkt).
The former Derby player was linked with a move to Liverpool in 2013 (Bleacher Report), but instead found himself moving to Vicarage Road.
