Report: Tottenham’s valuation of star man is likely to scare off Man City

Manchester City are rumoured to be in the market for a new forward this summer with Pep Guardiola looking for a striker who is lethal in front of goal.

ESPN claim that Guardiola wants the former Premier League champions to earmark a forward who can boast an impressive goalscoring record in the same bracket as Harry Kane, Robert Lewandowski and Sergio Aguero.

The report claims that City are likely to be scared off by Tottenham’s £200million valuation of Kane with the club not looking to spend big amounts on a player this summer.

Kane admitted in March during an Instagram interview with Jamie Redknapp that he would not remain in North London if the club fails to continue to progress (Evening Standard).

Next season Kane will line up in the Spurs side to take part in the Europa League after the club failed to qualify for Champions League football for the first time in five seasons.
