Reports suggest Spurs could spend £85m on pair in January

teamTALK are reporting that Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino could make a £85million double swoop in the January transfer window.

After becoming the first Premier League club since the inception of the summer transfer window not to bring in any fresh players, the report suggests that Spurs will instead look to strengthen their squad in the coming months.

The Daily Mirror suggests that Spurs could be prepared to spend on Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele after having a £40m offer rejected by the French club in the summer.

Daniel Levy would have to break Tottenham’s transfer fee record in order to land the midfielder.

Elsewhere, the Daily Star report that Spurs are eyeing up a move for Manchester United central defender Eric Bailly and Spurs could be prepared to pay around £30million to bolster their back four.
