Robbie Savage predicts where Spurs will finish in the Premier League table

Former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Robbie Savage has predicted where Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the Premier League table next season.

Tottenham Hotspur fans had been used to enjoying Champions League football under Mauricio Pochettino after the Argentine guided the club into four successive seasons.

After a poor start to last season which saw the club drop into the unfamiliar position of fourteenth in the table during November it proved to be enough for Daniel Levy to relieve Pochettino of his duties.

Jose Mourinho was unable to guide the club back into the top for and secure another campaign in European football’s most prestigious club competition and will instead take their place in the Europa League.

Savage believes that Tottenham will experience another frustrating campaign and will finish up in seventh place, one position lower than they managed last time out.

The former Welsh international believes that Spurs should look to prioritise cup competitions to end their twelve-year wait for a competitive piece of silverware.

Savage told The Mirror: “7th – Tottenham. If they are as entertaining as the All Or Nothing documentary, Spurs will be worth watching. But the meter is ticking over to 13 years without a trophy and they should prioritise the cups. Jose Mourinho did well to finish second with Manchester United in 2017 and it would be even more remarkable if he did it again with Spurs this season.”
