Rumoured Spurs target signs new deal at current club

Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Rekeem Harper has signed a new contract with West Bromwich Albion.

The Baggies confirmed via a statement on their website that the 19-year-old had put pen to paper on a three-year contract after his current deal was due to expire this summer.
Spurs are said to have held talks with the Championship side with a view to bringing him to North London on a permanent deal but loan him back to his former side in a similar arrangement as to what was agreed with Leeds United for Jack Clarke (London Football News).
Harper caught the eye last season after making 23 appearances in all competitions and looks to have been persuaded by new boss Slaven Billic that his future is to remain at The Hawthorns.
Opinion
Spurs seem to have a particular focus on trying to recruit young talent this summer given the Clarke deal and the links with Harper.
Our previous success of recruiting lower league players has worked out well in Dele Alli, Gareth Bale, Tom Huddlestone, Simon Davies and Danny Rose.
