Schalke and Spurs in Holtby deadlock

Schalke have told Tottenham that they must increase their offer if Lewis Holtby is to join this month.

Spurs have had two bids already rejected by the Bundesliga club, the latest is said to be around £850,000 for the attacking midfielder who is due to move to White Hart Lane on a free in July.

“We are in intensive talks, but Lewis is a young Germany international with the quality that goes with it and you don’t just give somebody like that away for a bargain price,” said Schalke 04’s director of sport Horst Heldt to Germany’s dpa agency.

  1. Well Tottenham was cheap in January last year and it cost us Champions league. Can Levy learn from his mistakes or is he the definition of cheap…I mean insanity

  2. please please learn from the past seasons and bring him in along with a striker we so desperately need and maybe John Guidetti at manchester city on loan with an option to buy he is going to be a top striker and could be ours it will not cost a fortune and could be the difference for champions league football at the lane

  3. Daniel Levy (General to his close adversary's ) is making it continually hard to b a spurs fan, for the last ten years we've been seen as da " NEARLY" team and I know ALOT of spurs fans who are fed up and disappointed in this blatant lack of achievement in him personally. Ridiculed by other fans and pundits alike for not making the next step, it's high time he gets with the program or sells the club cos he's making our lives a misery!

  4. Please please learn the mistakes from the last three windows we so need a striker or two John Guidetti at manchester city is going to be a top top striker and we could probably get him on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season he will be a star and could shoot us into the champions league, we are nearly there as a regular top four team a little investment will pay dividends

  5. If we don't get a striker I believe we should petition to get levy out. He's done gd but he's obv not a top 4 chairman maybe he'd be better off at Newcastle etc
