Serge Aurier has reacted to Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-1 defeat at Leicester City with a post on his official Instagram account.
After impressing in the 4-0 win against Crystal Palace last weekend, Aurier found himself not even named in the Spurs squad for the Champions League opener in Athens.
He was recalled to the starting eleven for the trip to the King Power and had looked to have put Tottenham 2-0 ahead when he drilled a right-footed shot in the bottom corner of the net.
Despite celebrating the goal, the Ivorian’s joy was short lived when the effort was chalked off by VAR after they claimed that Heung-min Son was marginally offside in the build up.
Aurier had recently revealed that he wanted to leave the club during the summer transfer window but had a change of heart after holding talks with the North London club (Mirror).
Following the sale of Kieran Trippier during the summer, Mauricio Pochettino has already used three different right-backs in the opening six matches of the season in Aurier, Davinson Sanchez and Kyle Walker-Peters.
