Mousa Dembele is still expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur before the start of the new Premier League season, according to the Standard.
The midfielder is currently on extended leave after appearing for Belgium during their World Cup campaign, which took them to the semi-final of the competition in Russia.
The 31-year-old has just twelve months to run on his contract at Tottenham and has previously been linked with big money moves to both China and Italy after previously indicating that he is unlikely to agree to a new deal.
A move to China is now out of question, following the closure of their transfer window, while the likes of Juventus, Napoli, Inter Milan and AC Milan are all said to be keen on the former Fulham player.
Dembele has already made it clear that he will definitely not join another Premier League club after describing Tottenham as “my team.”
