Some of the players who have reported for the start of pre-season training at Hotspur Way

Some of the Tottenham squad reported back to Hotspur Way this morning for the first day of pre-season training.

Among those reporting for duty were Michel Vorm, Paulo Gazzaniga, Ben Davies, Serge Aurier and Moussa Sissoko.
With twelve players having been involved or still in with a chance of winning the World Cup, many of the more established first team players will not be reporting for duty for at least a couple of weeks.

Christian Eriksen, Davinson Sanchez and Heung-min Son have all had their dreams of World Cup glory ended, with Son expected to play for South Korea in the Asia Cup during August and will be unavailable for selection.

Harry Kane, Kieran Trippier, Danny Rose, Eric Dier and Dele Alli are still all on duty with England, while Mousa Dembele, Toby Alderwerield and Jan Vertonghen have a semi-final date with France, where Hugo Lloris will be in goal. I’ve got a few quid on with www.perfectbettingonline.co.uk that England will be bringing home the trophy for the first time since 1966.

Considering the World Cup final takes place on July 15th, It is expected that the majority of the above names will be absent from Tottenham’s tour of the USA, which begins on July 25th when we face Roma in San Diego, followed by further matches against Barcelona on July 28th in Los Angeles and concluding in Minneapolis, where AC Milan are the opposition.
