Son signs contract extension at Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur have announced that Heung-min Son have signed a new contract until 2023.

The South Korea international was approaching the final two years of his current deal and has impressed in recent seasons.

Son has especially stepped up to the mark when Harry Kane has been injured to take his share of the goal scoring burden and has an impressive 47 goals in 140 appearances in a Spurs shirt.

The club have confirmed that Son will be part of the tour to the USA and will also be available for the Premier League opener at Newcastle United on August 11th, before heading off to represent his country in the Asia Cup and is hoped to return in time for the new stadium curtain raiser against Liverpool on September 14th.

Son joins the likes of Harry Kane, Kyle Walker-Peters and Davinson Sanchez in signing new deals at Tottenham.

Hopefully, Toby Alderweireld and a raft of new signings will be next!
