Spurs and Wycombe learn of their potential FA Cup fifth round opponent

The draw for the FA Cup fifth round has been made just a matter of minutes after Tottenham Hotspur learned of who they will face in the fourth round of the competition.

The fourth and the fifth round draws were made back-to-back to aid with fixture scheduling in this crowded season. The fifth round draw ball numbers were generated once the fourth round was been drawn.

Spurs were number four in the draw and were drawn against Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park in the fourth round.  Should Jose Mourinho’s side win the cup tie, they will take on either Everton or Sheffield Wednesday in the fifth round away from home.

The fifth round is scheduled for the midweek of the week beginning Monday 8 February.

Spurs last got their hands on the trophy back in 1991 when they beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 at the old Wembley Stadium courtesy of a Paul Stewart strike and an own goal by Des Walker.
