Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the destinations of their 2019/2020 pre-season tour.
Mauricio Pochettino’s squad will travel to Singapore and Shanghai in July as part of their preparations for the season ahead.
It is a complete change of destination for Spurs, who have travelled across the pond to the United States in recent seasons, where the fan base has substantially grown year on year.
It will be the first time in which Spurs have paid a visit to Shanghai in what is a huge commercial market for the club to grow and is also the base of club sponsor AIA.
Spurs last visited Singapore in 1995 when they faced the Singapore Lions.
With no World Cup or Euro’s taking place this upcoming summer, it should mean that some of the club’s biggest names including Heung-min Son, Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Hugo Lloris and Jan Vertonghen should all be heading to the far east.
Fixtures and opponents are yet to be announced.
