Spurs confirm they have had to make a late change to their squad due to illness

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that they have been forced into making a late change this evening amongst their substitutes.

With Hugo Lloris sidelined with an elbow injury until next year and Michel Vorm recently picking up a calf problem in training, Brandon Austin was named as the back-up keeper to Paulo Gazzaniga.

Spurs have now revealed that Austin has had to withdraw from being a substitute less than half hour before kick off due to illness.

His place on the bench has been taken by 20-year-old fellow academy product Alfie Whiteman.

Whiteman is yet to make a senior competitive appearance for the North London club and fans will be hoping that Gazzaniga comes through the match unscathed.

Spurs can book their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League with victory against Olympiacos in North London.

The Greek side are rooted to the bottom of Group B with just a single point from their opening four
matches.
