Spurs to continue with red kit sponsor

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that they have extended their shirt sponsorship with AIA until the end of the 2021/2022 season.

The club have worked with the pan-Asian life insurance group since the start of the 2013/2014 campaign where their logo was only featured on the shirts worn in cup competitions, but the extension of the deal will now see Tottenham walk out at the new stadium somewhat unfortunately wearing a red sponsor.

As part of the deal, Spurs will bring its first team to Asia on a number of occasions throughout the period of the agreement as they continue to look to break into the lucrative market in the far east.

Chairman Daniel Levy told a press conference: “This new long-term agreement demonstrates the strength of our relationship with AIA and underlines just how much we both value this partnership. The renewed partnership comes at a significant time in the Club’s history with a new world-class stadium currently under construction. We shall be proud to wear the AIA name on our shirts when we walk out on to that pitch for the first time. We look forward to continuing to work closely with AIA in the coming years as we look to further support the objectives of both organisations in the Asia-Pacific region.”
