Spurs dealt injury blow

Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt an injury blow with the news that Harry Winks has been ruled out for a further fortnight.

The England international has not featured for Spurs since the 5-2 win against Southampton on Boxing Day at Wembley, when he came on in the 86th minute as a replacement for Dele Alli.

Winks sustained an ankle injury in the win, which will mean that he will now miss the return match against Southampton, along with the FA Cup fourth round tie at League Two outfit Newport County.

The 21-year-old has featured 22 times for Tottenham this season and has become somewhat of a regular under Mauricio Pochettino, especially with the long spells which fellow midfielders Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele have been sidelined for.

With some huge games on the horizon, Tottenham will be hoping to get their midfield starlet back in action sooner rather than later.
