Spurs defender open to exit

Cameron Carter-Vickers has revealed that he would be open to another spell away from Tottenham Hotspur next season.

The USA international had a loan stint with Sheffield United earlier in the season where he made 17 appearances, scoring one goal and is currently enjoying a second loan in the Championship at Ipswich Town.

The 20-year-old is yet to make a Premier League appearance for Tottenham, having found himself behind the likes of Davinson Sanchez, Jan Vertonghen, Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld in the defensive pecking order.

“I want to play football so if the opportunity comes and the manager at Tottenham says he doesn’t need me and the opportunity to play football again in the Championship comes up, then I will be up for it.” He told The Green Un.

With Alderweireld expected to head for the exit this summer, there could be more opportunities for CCV in future, however, Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt has also been linked with a possible move to Pochettino’s side.
