Tottenham Hotspur are said to have entered negotiations with Barcelona to sign Andre Gomes, according to Sky Sports.
The 24-year-old Portuguese midfielder has been increasingly on Tottenham’s radar over the past 48 hours and has been offered out by the Catalan giants.
With a deal for Everton’s Ross Barkley looking increasingly doubtful due to his current injury issues and a gap in valuation, Tottenham are said now to be in talks with Barcelona with conflicting reports among news outlets on whether it would be a permanent or loan deal.
Gomes made 17 La Liga starts last season after moving from Valencia, but now appears to be surplus to requirements.
