Tottenham Hotspur suffered their first away defeat of the season earlier today at the hands of Manchester United, following a late Anthony Martial goal.
After the news that Harry Kane was going to miss the match due to a slight hamstring strain, many of us thought our chances of a victory at Old Trafford were over.

Is that because we are a ‘one man team’ as Pep Guardiola suggested, or is it due to the fact we do not have the strength and depth to replace Kane in the form of Heung-min Son or Fernando Llorente?
Our fellow Tottenham fans have been taking to Twitter to give their opinion on the 1-0 defeat. Here’s a selection of musings from the Spurs faithful.
I absolutely love kane, my first choice every time but it's high time we spent real money on a quality 2nd option imo

Never thought I'd be so pissed off with not getting anything from old Trafford. Utd were as bang average as we were.

Will never win PL cause can’t beat top6 teams away from home & too think we sacrifice cups cause we think we are good enough #Delusional

Man Utd could bring on Anthony Martial n we bring on a 32 year old slow Fernando Llorente, the difference. No good attacking options #MUNTOT

Poch should’ve put it in his book how he’s won 1 of the last 16 away from home vs a top 6 club.

Struggling to see why we signed Llorente when we seem to have no idea how to get any use from him. He gets *nothing* to work with imo.

I don’t like blaming the ref, but he was absolutely awful today. I couldn’t believe it. Everything going their way.

Rival fans saying we're nothing without Kane. The same Kane they say isn't good enough and a fraud. Cool

Seems like we lost out to a route one goal to a team playing 5 at the back at home against a team with no strikers. All about winning tho ??
