Spurs can finish in top four without Bale insists Dembele

Mousa Dembele has the belief in the Tottenham squad to push on without the injured Gareth Bale.

Bale, along with Aaron Lennon will be out of action for at least a fortnight meaning they will be unavailable for the visit of Everton on Sunday and the Europa League quarter-final second leg in Basel next Thursday.

Although we lack natural width when Bale and Lennon are out of the side, Dembele feels we have the strength and depth to still qualify for the Champions League.

When asked about the absence of Bale, he said: “Can we make the top four without Gaz? Yes, of course we can.

“There are other good players who play well. He has been very important for us but other players have to step up now.”

“Everybody knows they are two very important players for us so it’s another big disappointment,” added Dembele.

“But I think we have a big, good squad and we have to concentrate on beating Everton now.”
