Ahead of the long journey to Newcastle United on Sunday, I was hoping to hear some positive news on the injury front but in typical Spurs fashion I was left disappointed.
Hugo Lloris (knee), Jan Vertonghen (illness) and Kyle Walker will have late decisions made on their availability after Pochettino takes his players in a training session on Saturday.
Walker I can do without, I’d like to see what the fuss is about Yedlin. However, there is absolutely no doubt that we are missing the presence of Lloris and Vertonghen – I just hope they are both still here this time next year.
“All three are doubts,” Pochettino told the official site.
“We have another training session tomorrow and we will then assess their levels, see how they are and make a decision.”
