Spurs injury update vs Man Utd; Two ruled out and a fitness test for winger

Tottenham Hotspur have provided a team news update ahead of Sunday’s Premier League match against Manchester United at Wembley.

Midfielder Eric Dier has this week returned to training following his appendix operation, but is not ready to play a competitive match.

Another central midfielder who misses out yet again is Victor Wanyama who is still trying to return to fitness due to his his ongoing knee issues and is described as ‘progressing to the late stages of rehabilitation’.

Lucas Moura picked up a thigh injury in the 7-0 win against Tranmere Rovers and missed the Carabao Cup victory against Chelsea in midweek and a late decision will be made on his fitness.

There was no announcement made on the fitness of Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele, which presumably means both have recovered from their respective injuries, however it seems unlikely that Dembele will feature given the fact that he is being tipped to be on his way out of the club this month.
