Spurs keen on Liverpool striker?

Tottenham could make a move for Liverpool striker Divock Origi, 22, if Vincent Janssen leaves Spurs before the transfer window closes on Thursday.

The Sun report that Mauricio Pochettino is considering a move for the Belgian international should Janssen depart. Janssen has been heavily linked with moves to Stoke City and West Brom over the past few weeks.

It is unlikely that Spurs would sell Janssen before another striker is in place, but Origi could fit the bill. He is young and wouldn’t expect to play week-in, week out – who would when Harry Kane is your main striker.

The Liverpool forward has dropped down the pecking order failed to make the Champions League matchday squad for the win over Hoffenheim on Wednesday. He is said to be concerned that the lack of football could hamper his chances of making Belgium’s World Cup squad next summer.

Origi has scored 12 goals in 51 Premier League appearances for Liverpool. While Janssen has managed 2 goals in 28 Premier League outings for Tottenham.
