Spurs learn who they will face in Carabao Cup quarter-final

The draw for the quarter final of the Carabao Cup was made a few moments ago with Tottenham Hotspur learning that they will face Stoke City away from home.

Tottenham secured their place in the draw after beating Chelsea on penalties on Tuesday night after the score was level at 1-1 following 90 minutes.

Jose Mourinho’s side received a bye into the fourth round after Leyton Orient were unable to play their match in the round prior due to an outbreak of COVID-19 at the League Two side.

The North Londoners last won the competition in 2008 when Juande Ramos’ side beat Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley courtesy of an extra time header from Jonathan Woodgate.

After four weeks of action, the Carabao Cup will return in December after the round four fixtures were completed.

The Carabao Cup final is set to take place on February 28, 2021, at Wembley Stadium, with the semi-finals being played on January 5/6 at the start of next year.
