Spurs legend extends a warm welcome back to Vincent Janssen

Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to welcome Vincent Janssen back into the first team fold at Tottenham Hotspur.

Janssen made his first appearance in any competition for Mauricio Pochettino’s side for 611 days when he came off the substitutes bench to replace Lucas Moura for the final ten minutes of Tuesday night’s 1-0 win against Brighton.

He was recalled into Pochettino’s plans in February when it looked to some supporters that his days at the club could have been coming to an end.

Janssen had been recalled to the first team squad for the first time for last Saturday’s Premier League defeat against Manchester City at the Etihad but was an unused substitute.

The Dutchman will now be hoping that he will get the opportunity for further game time in Spurs’ remaining three Premier League matches, starting with the visit of London rivals West Ham United on Saturday lunchtime.

Roberts said via his official Twitter account: “Welcome back Vincent the fans gave you a cracking reception nice to see you back.”
