Spurs legend in Twitter exchange with Man Utd and Chelsea fans after Ole appointment

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Graham Roberts took to Twitter earlier today to reply to a Tweet from Gary Neville.

After Manchester United appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as permanent manager on a three-year contract, Neville posted a Tweet to express his delight for his former team-mate.

Roberts replied to Neville’s Tweet with a tongue-in-cheeky retort insisting that they can now leave Mauricio Pochettino alone. Following Jose Mourinho’s sacking in December, Neville was very vocal in both the printed press (Independent) and during his appearances on Sky Sports with his belief that the Old Trafford outfit should bring in Pochettino to replace Mourinho.

When Roberts was mocked by a United fan who suggested that they were never in for Pochettino, the UEFA Cup winner wasted no time in suggesting that they would instead prefer ‘a manager who got sacked by Cardiff and managed molde’.

Even when a Chelsea fan pitched in by claiming Spurs won’t win any trophies soon, Roberts was again on form to take a dig at the Stamford Bridge side’s loose spending in recent seasons.

Give him 500 mill like you boys and I am sure he could !
