Spurs legend sends message to fans to ‘raise the roof’ tonight against Ajax

Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to urge the fans attending tonight’s match against Ajax to create a formidable atmosphere.

The former defender has told fans to ‘raise the roof’ with their support of Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the first leg of the Champions League semi final at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

To help create a memorable atmosphere, the club have already asked fans to wear white clothing to create a sea of Lilywhite within the stadium, along with the return of the iconic ‘To Dare is to Do’ mosaic which will be held up by the 17,500 supporters located in the south stand before kick off (Official Spurs).

Roberts has himself tasted glory on the European stage with Tottenham having been part of the side which lifted the UEFA Cup in 1984 when he scored in the second leg of the final against Anderlecht, and then converted his penalty when Spurs won the final on a shootout.
